FOUNDER’S STORY

McLean Hudson

McLean was born and raised in Nashville, TN. His career has been inspired by his parents, each of whom ran their own small businesses. The lessons and mentality he learned around the dinner table continue to be lasting influences.

McLean has worked in M&A advisory at BlackArch Partners and as an investor at Peak Rock Capital. In each role, he worked for and alongside family-run businesses, which gave him further conviction to one day acquire and run his own business. Most recently, he worked at Sterling Labs, an environmental testing laboratory in Chicago, where he focused on sales strategy and operations.

McLean earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where he competed on the club triathlon team, and his MBA from The Kellogg School of Management. McLean lives in Nashville, where he enjoys staying active, taking in live music, and cheering on the Tennessee Titans and UVA sports.

How We Are Different

We are not private equity. 100% of McLean’s time, energy and resources will be dedicated to the company and building on your success. We will build a board that pairs relevant expertise with decades of investing and operating experience. Guided by a long-term view, the emphasis will be on investing in the team and growing revenue, not looking for short-sighted wins to squeeze out returns. And, critically, McLean will work with you to find a deal structure and transition plan that meets your goals.

Our Process

Intro Call

Week 1

In the initial call, we’ll talk at a high level about your business and your transition goals. Information you share is strictly confidential. Give McLean a call at 615-554-1874 or email him at mclean@radnorlakecapital.com. We are always excited to meet and learn from successful entrepreneurs.

Meet In-Person

Week 2

McLean will come to you. Whether it’s at your facility, a conference you’re attending, or somewhere in between, we’ll talk more about your goals and how we can work together. The best way to build a relationship is face-to-face!

Letter of Intent

Week 3

If both parties are interested in moving forward, we’ll submit a Letter of Intent (“LOI”) that lays out the key terms of our partnership. RLC will work jointly with you to arrive at terms, including both price and deal structure, that work for you.

Due Diligence

Week 4-15

When the LOI is signed, we will request more in-depth information about the business to move towards a successful close. This period will include the necessary legal documentation to complete a transaction.

Close

Week 16

We will sign the purchase agreement, wire you the funds, and close the transaction. A meticulous post-close plan will be in place to ensure a seamless transition and avoid any business interruption.
